Halloween Safety Tips
To help ensure adults and children have a safe holiday Gamblers Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing Club has put together a list of Halloween Safety tips for you!
- All costumes, wigs and accessories should be fire-resistant
- Always stay together in a group, do not trick or treat alone
- Only travel in familiar, well-lit areas
- Only go to homes with a porch light on and never enter a home or car for a treat
- Look both ways before crossing the street
- Children and adults are reminded to put electronic devices down, keep heads up and walk, don’t run, across the street
- Bring home candy to be inspected by an adult before eating treats
- Be visable! Take a flashlight and glowsticks with you
- At night wear reflective tape or clothing
- Eat well before trick or treating so you don’t fill up on just candy
- Plan your route and a safe way home
- Don’t throw eggs or destroy others property
- When buying Halloween makeup, make sure it is nontoxic and always test it in a small area first
- Remove all makeup before children go to bed to prevent skin and eye irritation
- Be respectful of others and share
